When I first started in events, I would imagine that I was attending the event; and you should too. Walk the venue space through as if you were a attending. Where does the guest arrive, where do they go? Where are the bathrooms, the bar/beverages? Where should greeters be positioned? How easy is it for your guests to get to your event? This process should allow you to do a number of things, from making sure you haven’t forgotten to consider accessibility, to improving the customer experience throughout their engagement at your event.⠀
